Dorpscamping Groede is a family business in Groede, Zeeland Flanders, running two campsites side by side: Het Platte Putje and Camping De Ploeg. One family is behind the campsite, the horse boarding, the apartments and the farm experience that define the business.

We're not a
holiday park.
Dorpscamping Groede is the umbrella name for our two parks in Groede. No chain, no reception desk with five staff and no entertainment team — but two parks that the three of us run ourselves, as a family, right in the middle of the Zeeuws-Vlaanderen countryside.
One park, Het Platte Putje, is a cosy minicamping; the other, Camping De Ploeg, is larger and especially popular with regular guests. Guests come for the peace, the wide-open views and the feeling that they're just not on a holiday park — and they keep coming back because we know them by name and their children learn here how to stroke a donkey.
Our story
It began with
animal feed and
a barn.
Our story doesn't begin with a campsite, but with an animal-feed business: a barn on the Woordweg, full of feed and stable supplies.
Next to that barn we bought a piece of land. In 2007 we built our own farm campsite there: Het Platte Putje, with spacious camping pitches, a horse boarding stable and a children's playground where the neighbourhood kids come to play too. By the barn we added a shed with horse stabling, two apartments and a recreation room.
Ten years later, in 2017, we took over the neighbouring park Camping De Ploeg — an existing park that borders directly onto Het Platte Putje. A different atmosphere, different guests, the same care.

Next to the barn we buy land and build our farm campsite. By the barn we add a shed with horse stabling, two apartments and a recreation room.

Camping De Ploeg joins
We take over the existing neighbouring park, right next to Het Platte Putje. Two parks under one name.

Run by three family members — no entertainment team, but personal attention. Nowhere near finished yet.
