Dorpscamping Groede consists of the small-scale minicamping Het Platte Putje (camping pitches for tent, caravan or motorhome, apartments and horse boarding) and Camping De Ploeg (motorhome, seasonal and annual pitches), right next to each other in Groede, Zeeuws-Vlaanderen — each with its own character. The beach at Groede is about a 15-minute bike ride away, with farm animals and a playground for children.

Vriendelijke uitbaatster die ons vertelde dat ze de camping overgenomen hebben en dat ze die aan het opfrissen zijn. Er is ook een klein winkeltje met streekproducten. Het was er rustig en we zullen nog teruggaan.”

“Wat een verschrikkelijk leuke camping is dit. We reden de caravan op het aangewezen plek en het voelde vanaf de eerste seconde meteen helemaal geweldig. Kinderen die lekker aan het spelen zijn, andere mensen heerlijk bij de tent, even lekker buurten met campinggasten en natuurlijk een erg mooie omgeving waarin je je bevindt. Volgend jaar weer. Oh ja, ik zou het bijna vergeten te zeggen, maar ook het sanitair is wauw. Gewoon een goede douche en het wordt allemaal erg goed bijgehouden. De eigenaresse leeft ook nog eens met je mee en is goed aanspreekbaar. In één woord geweldig!”

“Wat een heerlijke plek. Astrid, behulpzaam, vriendelijk. Een plek om je thuis te voelen Rene en zijn vrouw,zeer vriendelijk ,behulpzaam en zij verkopen : gegrilde kippen,lekkere gehaktballen, diverse verse salades en...als toetje: lekker ijs.wij hopen nog eens terug te gaan”

“Hele nette kleine camping met ruime plaatsen. Er heerst een hele gemoedelijke sfeer. Ook heel fijn dat onze twee honden van harte welkom zijn. Uiteraard aangelijnd zoals het hoort. De camping heeft een goede ligging. Je kan zo een leuke dag maken met de overtocht naar Vlissingen. De eigenaar en eigenaresse zijn ook zeer vriendelijk en dachten goed mee voor een rustig plekje, zodat het ook voor de honden rustig was. Het sanitair was heel netjes en de afwas doen was zeker geen straf in de fijne ruimte hiervoor. Echt een aanrader! Wij komen hier zeker nog eens terug.”

“Wij hebben hier met Hemelvaart gestaan. Wat een fijne camping. Wij keken zo op het speelveld, erg fijn met nog een kind van 3. Er zijn skelters, trampoline, zandbak, speeltoestel. De eigenaren zijn ontzettend vriendelijk. Sanitair is netjes en wordt goed schoon gehouden. Op loopafstand zit een klein winkeltje in het dorp en ook een bierbrouwerij waar je heerlijk kan eten. Wij komen zeker nog een keer terug.”

How much does a night cost?

What are the opening times?
Minicamping Het Platte Putje is open all year round, with heated sanitary facilities and a washing-up room. At Camping De Ploeg the motorhome pitches are open all year; the sanitary building there is closed from November to March.
What is the difference between Het Platte Putje and Camping De Ploeg?
Het Platte Putje and Camping De Ploeg are the two sites of Dorpscamping Groede in Groede, Zeeuws-Vlaanderen. Minicamping Het Platte Putje at Woordweg 20A (4503 GB Groede) is aimed at holiday guests: spacious pitches for tent, caravan or motorhome, the apartments Kievit and Tureluur and a horse boarding stable, open all year. Camping De Ploeg at Voorstraat 47 (4503 BL Groede) has a motorhome field with 35 places plus annual and seasonal pitches for long-stay guests; booking is not required there. So with a motorhome you can stay at either site. Both lie in the village of Groede and together form Dorpscamping Groede.
Where is the entrance to the campsite?
Het Platte Putje and Camping De Ploeg border each other, but each has its own entrance on a different street and there is no through route between the two sites. Het Platte Putje is reached via Woordweg 20A (4503 GB Groede). Camping De Ploeg is reached via Voorstraat 47 (4503 BL Groede) — motorhomes too. So enter the address of your own campsite in the satnav; you check in at the campsite where you booked.
Where do I check in on arrival?
You check in at the campsite where you booked; each of the two sites has its own check-in point. At minicamping Het Platte Putje someone is usually walking around the site — if you cannot find anyone, call +31 6 21538928. At Camping De Ploeg you check in at the reception on Voorstraat, or otherwise at the little shop De Groe'ne Poort by the motorhome field. If you booked a motorhome pitch online, your pitch is already waiting for you: we put out a cone with your registration number in advance, so you know straight away where to go — even if nobody happens to be around.
What is the difference between a motorhome pitch and a camping pitch?
With a motorhome you are welcome at both campsites — the difference is the kind of pitch. A motorhome pitch on the motorhome field at Camping De Ploeg is a place for your motorhome only; you cannot put up an extra tent there. At minicamping Het Platte Putje your motorhome stands on a spacious camping pitch, with electricity at the pitch, heated sanitary facilities, a playground and farm animals, and a tent or caravan is just as welcome there. If you want more space or plan to stay longer, choose Het Platte Putje; if you are looking for a practical stopover, the motorhome field at De Ploeg is the right choice.
Are dogs welcome at the campsite?
Yes, dogs are very welcome at both campsites. To keep the stay pleasant for all guests, your dog must always be kept on a lead on the grounds. The campsite is not a dog-walking area: please walk your dog outside the campsite and clear up any accidents straight away.
When can you take your dog onto the beach?
From 1 September to 1 May dogs may run free on the beach all day. During the summer period (1 May to 1 September) they may run free before 10.00 and after 18.00; between 10.00 and 18.00 dogs are only allowed on a lead.
Is there free wifi?
Yes, there is free wifi across the entire grounds.
How far is the beach?
The beach at Groede and Breskens is about a 15-minute bike ride away. We have 2 e-bikes for hire.
Do I need to book a motorhome pitch at Camping De Ploeg?
You may book, but you don't have to. You're also very welcome without a reservation at our 35 motorhome pitches (Voorstraat 47, 4503 BL Groede). If you'd like the certainty of a pitch, you can easily book in advance.
Is the campsite suitable for children?
Yes, both campsites are very suitable for children. Camping De Ploeg has a playground, and at Minicamping Het Platte Putje children can let off steam with go-karts, a climbing frame, a slide, a trampoline and a sandpit. They can regularly help feed the farm animals too.
How are the sanitary facilities arranged?
Both campsites have a well-kept sanitary building with free hot water; no cards or coins needed. At Minicamping Het Platte Putje the sanitary building is heated during the colder season.
Is there a horse boarding stable?
Yes, Het Platte Putje has a horse boarding stable with 7 boxes and 6 paddocks.
When can you take your horse onto the beach?
From 1 September to 1 May the beaches in the area are accessible on horseback all day. From 1 May to 1 September this is allowed before 10.00 and after 18.00.
Is there electricity on the pitches?
Yes. The pitches at Het Platte Putje have electricity and the 35 motorhome pitches at Camping De Ploeg each have their own hook-up. You can top up drinking water at a central point next to the camper field. There is no hot water at the pitch itself, but it is free in the sanitary building.
Is there a shop at the campsite?
Yes. Farm shop and cafeteria De Groe'ne Poort is right next to the camper field at Camping De Ploeg, selling fresh regional produce from Zeeland. The rest of the village of Groede is within walking distance.
How far are Breskens, Cadzand and Sluis?
Breskens is about 6 km away, Cadzand-Bad about 8 km and the small town of Sluis about 10 km — all easy to reach by bike through the polders. The beach at Groede is about 15 minutes away by bike.
Can I rent a bike?
Yes, e-bikes are available for rent at the campsite — the beach at Groede is then about 15 minutes away.
